• Draft canal: 1.10 meter (same as Turfroute, will be in time 1.30 m)

** lock Noordersluis + bridge, De Veenhoop: at a distance
** bridge near Restaurant It Polderhûs, De Veenhoop: at a distance
** bridge Geaweibrêge, Nij Beets: self-service (button)
** lock Zuidersluis, Nij Beets: self-service (button)

• Headroom of the seven fixed bridges: 2,70 meter

• Width bridges and locks: 5 meter
• Maximum length ships: 28 meter

To get on the Polderhoofdkanaal from the Nieuwe Vaart you need to go through the Zuidersluis (Schouwstraslús) or coming from the the Smalle Ee through the Noordersluis. The canal contains three drawbridges. If you the lock or bridge is self-service you can read on a sign what to do. Anytime: safety first. Please notify the trafic rules. Don't sail by a red-green light because you're disturbing the automatic cyclus and that means troubles. Wait for a green-green light.
